The

Denise Karbon & Co. Practice at the Foot of the Sciliar Massive for Success on the Slopes

Skiing on the Alpe di Siusi
Arnold, the coach, attentively observes the female skier as she manoevers her way through the forest of flags. He stands motionlessly on the edge of the Puflatsch Slope of the Seiser Alm / Alpe di Siusi, his eyes focused on the young athlete's movements. As she swishes by the last few flags, she boosts her speed – and then she swerves over the finish line and looks expectantly towards her coach. But his facial expression makes it clear that he has found fault with her performance. "You have to ski straight over the finish line," he calls to her. Later, he gives her more-precise instructions, then he fixes his gaze on the next skier ready to start at the top of the course.

Night skiing

Every Tuesday and Thursday at the Marinzen slope ... and off you go! 2.3 km of flood-lit pistes from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.!
It’s dark all around, only the ski slope is emerged in the light. Sporty night-owls wedel down the slopes. If it gets too cold, you can warm up in the hut and then make your snowy way into the valley once more..... There are so many ways to end a beautiful day! Make sure you don’t miss this unique experience!

Highspeed Race Punta d'Oro - 14.12.2008

Highspeed race Alpe di Siusi
Who is the fastest skier on the Alpe di Siusi? Who is the fastest snowboarder on the Alpe di Siusi? 2 skies / 1 board + the highspeed course Punta d’Oro. Nothing for weak nerves.
… and afterwards we celebrate the winter-offbeat.

Denise Karbon Fan & Fun - 01.01.2009

Denise Karbon
Denise Karbon's traditional fan club race is a contest and fun-filled event all rolled into one. On New Year's Day, ski fans meet at the Marinzen aerial lift in Castelrotto to measure their skills. Denise (the 2007 World Champion Bronze Medalist in Giant Slalom in Aare) and a couple of her ski colleagues will be there, too. In the afternoon, there will be a parallel slalom race for children. In the evening, the adults will race through the slaloms. Each participant will compete against every other contestant twice. The winner will be determined in a "sudden death" round. Peter Fill, the World Cup Racer from Castelrotto, will temper his athletic ambitions and instead show off his abilities as a nostalgia skier on wooden skis. Of course, there will be plenty of opportunity to ask for autographs and take souvenir photos.

The Alpe di Siusi "Blue Ribbon" - 01.02.2009

As far back as in 1953, the participants to this traditional race were in excess of 250, making it the most sought after sporting event of the district. Mostly due to its original concept comprising an alpine skiing combination of downhill and slalom racing skills, it is suited to all skiing competitors, the most unseasoned included. The winner of each category is awarded the "Blue Ribbon Throphy", in memory of the luxury liners that held the North Atlantic "Blue Ribbon" for the fastest trans-Atlantic crossing.
