And so, the children of the town of Castelrotto shoulder their skis, pull their ski caps deep into their faces to shield themselves from the biting cold, encase themselves in warm ski outfits, and march in their ski boots to the Guns Lift, a small tow lift on the outskirts of town. In the winter months, it's the regular meeting place for the village youth. It's easy to reach and has a simple layout. The gentle downhill slope leads over a meadow, at the foot of which there is a cozy hut where they can warm up when the wind is really cold.
