Farm-Fresh Produce
The landscape of the Sciliar region is one of distinctive contrasts. When the mighty Dolomites are still covered with snow, the cherry trees are already blossoming on the sunny slopes leading down to the Val d'Isarco. This fertile region is protected by the main ridge of the Alps, and enjoys a mild, almost Mediterranean climate, so it's no surprise that it has been continually inhabited for thousands of years. Our farmers have always been open for new ideas and change, and have masterfully understood how to adapt the cultivation of the land to shifting demands. Today, it is still taken for granted that the homestead is always passed on to the next generation – to the benefit of everyone, one can say. That's because this has helped preserve the character of this unique agricultural landscape, which lives in perfect harmony with the wondrous natural beauty of the Sciliar region.
